I have two fully furnished rooms available in my modern home in Charlemont, ideal for Deakin students looking for a quiet, safe, comfortable and friendly place to live and study.

The rooms are available individually, but would also be perfect for two friends wanting to live together.

🛏️ The Rooms

Each bedroom is fully furnished with a:

* Single bed
* Bedside table
* Study desk and chair
* Built-in robe

Linen and towels can also be provided if required.

The two students will share a bathroom with each other.

💰 $300 per room, per week – All Inclusive

The weekly rent includes:

* Electricity, gas and water
* Wi-Fi/internet
* Fortnightly cleaner who cleans the bathrooms, vacuums and mops
* Toilet paper
* Laundry detergent
* Basic household and cleaning products
* Full use of the fully equipped kitchen
* Washing machine/laundry facilities
* Shared living areas

There are no separate utility bills to worry about, making it easy to budget each week.

📚 Quiet, Safe & Security-Conscious Home

This is a quiet, safe and security-conscious household and would particularly suit students who value having a peaceful home environment where they can study, relax and get a good night’s sleep.

I work full-time shift work, including some nights, so keeping the home secure is important to me. I am looking for housemates who are clean, respectful and considerate of others, and equally mindful about home security.

This isn’t a busy student share house – it’s a home. I’d like the students living here to feel comfortable, welcome and secure, while also respecting each other’s space and quiet time.

As well as the shared indoor living areas, there is a lovely sunny back deck – perfect for sitting outside with a coffee, reading, studying or simply relaxing.

🛍️ Great Charlemont Location

One of the best things about the location is how convenient it is, particularly if you don’t have a car.

The Charlemont shopping area is only around a 2-minute walk away, making groceries, food, cafés and everyday essentials very easy to access.

There are also gyms, supermarkets, cafés, takeaway options and additional shopping nearby, with Armstrong Creek and Waurn Ponds also within easy reach.

🚌 Public Transport

There is a bus stop just a short walk away on Horseshoe Bend Road, with local bus services connecting Charlemont with Marshall Station and surrounding areas.

Marshall Train Station is approximately 2 km away, providing convenient train access to Geelong and Melbourne, as well as public transport connections towards Deakin University’s Waurn Ponds Campus.

🐾 Meet the Pets

You’ll also be sharing the home with my three much-loved pets:

Tess – my friendly 8-year-old Kelpie cross
Bee & Daisy – my two 3½-year-old cats, who are strictly indoor cats.

You will need to be comfortable living with animals.

Occasionally, if I’m at work, I may ask if you could let Tess outside for a quick toilet break.

Both international and local students are very welcome.
